CANTEEN INFORMATION

No cadet, for any command/school (including staff cadets), is permitted to report without this required item.  It is a safety issue to ensure hydration.

Be advised, this is the only acceptable style of canteen.  The "round" or larger "square" canteens, or a civilian water bottle are NOT acceptable, due to uniformity.   These can be found fairly inexpensively (under $10) at many local retail stores (Wal-mart, Target, etc) in the camping area, or at local military surplus stores.  They are of approximately 1 quart size.  They consist of a green plastic canteen, a green canvas cover, and a green canvas belt with clips to clip the canteen cover to the belt with. 

 Cadets will be required to hydrate properly.  Ensure that if this canteen is used prior to reporting, that you do NOT put any other fluids in the canteen, as it tends to contaminate the canteen, effectively ruining it.
